Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced and client-focused Family Law Attorney to represent clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, maintenance, and related proceedings.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in divorce and other family law matters
- Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, negotiations, and trials
- Handle discovery and communicate with opposing counsel
- Appear in court and advocate for clients during hearings and proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and assist clients in reaching favorable resolutions
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates throughout their cases
- Manage case deadlines, calendars, and overall case progression
- Collaborate with paralegals and other members of the legal team
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
- 7+ years of experience practicing family law & able to handle a caseload from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of Illinois family law and court procedures
