Family Law Paralegal/File Clerk (Part-Time)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Part-Time Family Law Paralegal to join this growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in Colorado family law and be comfortable managing case files, preparing court documents, communicating with clients and vendors, and supporting attorneys and LLPs in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the legal team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate billing entries using legal billing software such as Clio or PracticePanther.
- Draft fee agreements and other client correspondence.
- Schedule new client consultations and
- Assist with billing follow-up and collection calls.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding contracts, services, and renewal options.
- Assist with implementation and setup of the firm's phone system.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Close client files in accordance with firm procedures and attorney instructions.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Perform additional administrative and paralegal duties as assigned.
Experience requirements:
- File pleadings and other court documents through the Colorado Courts E-Filing system.
- Prepare Financial Affidavits
- Obtain, organize, and disclose initial disclosures pursuant to Colorado Rule of Civil Procedure
- Draft both pattern and non-pattern discovery, including Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents (RPDs).
- Prepare exhibits for hearings, mediations, and trial.
- Maintain attorney calendars as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, vendors, and opposing counsel.
Placement: Temporary as needed by client.1-2 months, with potential to extend
Pay: $20.00 $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Schedule:
Summer Schedule (Now through approximately August 18):
- Tuesday and Friday (10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m).
Fall Schedule (Beginning after approximately August 18):
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m)
Schedule may be adjusted based on firm needs.
