Position Overview

As a Family Medicine Faculty, you will take on the role of a Preceptor for resident physicians delivering medical care in our community-based outpatient clinic and inpatient services at our flagship 450-bed hospital located in Newport News, VA. Join a dedicated team passionate about teaching and committed to developing highly skilled and innovative Family Physicians. Previous experience in a faculty role is appreciated!

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in one of the oldest and most established family medicine residency programs in the nation, emphasizing evidence-based medicine with 13 residents per PGY year.
• Contribute to an ACGME-recognized osteopathic curriculum, collaborating with both DO and MD faculty to ensure quality patient care while tailoring education to each resident's needs.
• Serve a diverse patient population, focusing on the full spectrum of family medicine, including disease prevention, management, health maintenance, and patient education.
• Utilize EPIC to connect all outpatient and inpatient facilities within our health system.

Compensation Range

The hiring range for this position is between $285,000 and $335,000, with actual compensation dependent on specialty, experience, and performance.
