Our organization is a prominent leader in community family medicine education, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. We are excited to invite applications for a Family Medicine Faculty Physician to join our core faculty team. This residency program is proudly affiliated with both the Medical University of South Carolina and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus.

Position Highlights

• Annual intake of 12 Family Medicine residents
• First program in the state to achieve ACGME Osteopathic Recognition
• Balanced experience in outpatient and inpatient settings, with approximately 6 weeks of inpatient duties each year
• Largest Family Medicine residency program in South Carolina

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

• Be eligible for a South Carolina medical license
• Hold board certification in Family Medicine
• Possess a passion for teaching
• Have practical experience or a faculty development fellowship
• Prior academic teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Have training in POCUS or Sports Medicine (preferred)
• Obstetrical care experience is encouraged but not required
