Our client, a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a strong focus on community health and expanding clinical services, is hiring a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician for their Lower East Side location in Manhattan. This position offers a unique opportunity for dedicated physicians seeking a balanced work schedule within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to a diverse patient population, primarily heavy Hispanic communities.
Manage patients across all ages (Family Medicine) or adults only (Internal Medicine), depending on the selected specialty.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists across multiple disciplines, in a busy outpatient setting.
Use electronic medical records (EMR: ECU) with training provided.
Engage in preventive care, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
Optional Saturday clinics, with pay at time-and-a-half; minimal on-call duties (telephonic, 34 times annually).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and scheduled admin time to support clinical excellence.
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Minimum 12 years of outpatient ambulatory care experience.
Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Candidates with at least some outpatient experience, including recent graduates with specialized training, are encouraged to apply.
Fluency in Spanish preferred but not mandatory; interpreter tools available.
J1 visa candidates and 2027 graduates are not eligible; H1 visa transfers considered
Ability to commit to a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday with optional weekend work.
Some of the Benefits:
Competitive base salary of approximately $205,000, based on a 35-hour week; equivalent to $235,000 for a 40-hour week.
Incentives based on patient volume (target 3,300 visits/year; $30 per visit over target, no cap), quality, and patient experience.
Full benefits package including four weeks of PTO, personal days, sick leave, and holiday pay.
Employer contributions of 2% to 403(b) retirement plan.
No night shifts; minimal on-call responsibilities with telephonic support.
