What You'll Do & Bring

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic health conditions
  • Obtain and assess patient health histories through interviews, examinations, and diagnostic testing
  • Identify and address risk factors through clinical assessment and evidence-based care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Promote wellness, preventive care, and health maintenance strategies
  • Provide patient education and counseling to support healthy lifestyles and disease management
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Refer patients for specialty care and additional services as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient documentation
  • Ensure prompt follow-up on patient calls, laboratory results, referrals, and prescription needs
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and achievement of healthcare outcome measures
  • Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
  • Current and unrestricted Texas Medical Board license
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, whole-person care
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Passion for improving access to quality healthcare within the community

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
  • Experience in primary care or acute care settings
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or community health environment
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
