Job Opportunity: Core Faculty Position in Family Medicine
Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Core Faculty member to join the Family Medicine Residency Program, which was established in 2015 and operates within a 116-bed community hospital.
This position is part of the Dr. S. Hughes Melton Family Residency Program, situated at Johnston Memorial Hospital in the charming town of Abingdon, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise residents in both clinical and hospital settings.
- Participate in meetings and candidate interviews.
- Contribute to curriculum development and research initiatives.
- Engage in direct patient care and clinical activities alongside residents.
- Focus primarily on teaching residents, while also instructing medical students and overseeing advanced practice providers.
Qualifications:
- Must be board certified in Family Medicine.
- Training in full-scope family medicine is essential.
- A strong dedication to graduate medical education is required.
- Full-spectrum practitioners are highly preferred.
