Mercy Health Defiance Family Practice is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our well-established and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a ready-made patient panel while providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a supportive environment.

About the Opportunity

• Location: Mercy Health Defiance Family Practice, Defiance, OH
• Practice Setting: Outpatient primary care
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (flexible scheduling available)
• Patient Volume: Average of 22–28 patients per day
• Diverse Patient Population: 25% pediatrics, 50% adults, 25% geriatrics
• Call Schedule: Shared with current providers

In December 2017, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published its new star ratings index on Hospital Compare.  Eight Mercy Health hospitals improved ratings from last year with Mercy Health Defiance Hospital receiving a 5-star rating – the highest rating a hospital can achieve.  The overall rating summarizes up to 57 quality measures on Hospital Compare reflecting common conditions that hospitals treat, such as heart attacks or pneumonia.  The overall rating shows how well each hospital performed, on average, compared to other hospitals in the U.S.  The overall rating ranges from one to five stars. The more stars, the better a hospital performed on the available quality measures. The most common overall rating is 3 stars.
