Our client, a community health organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accessible primary care services in New York City, is hiring a Family Medicine Physician for its Midtown West Manhattan location. This role offers a unique opportunity to serve diverse patient populations across multiple community-based sites in Manhattan, including the vibrant Hell’s Kitchen and Midtown neighborhoods. The Physician will deliver primary care across all ages in a multi-specialty, outpatient setting, contributing to vital health initiatives such as HIV care, women’s health, diabetes management, and emotional wellness. Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, addressing acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Manage a patient panel of approximately 20 patients per day, including walk-ins and scheduled visits.
  • Perform preventive care, screenings, and health education tailored to community needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive health services, including HIV, gender-affirming, reproductive, dental, eye care, and opioid addiction treatment.
  • Document clinical encounters using ECU electronic medical records; training provided.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance incentive programs.
  • Maintain timely and accurate medical records, ensuring notes are completed within 15 days.
  • Engage in a flexible schedule, working approximately 35 hours weekly with a half-day administrative time.
  • Participate in on-call telephonic services approximately 3-4 weeks annually, with schedule specifics shared by site leadership.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence, with Spanish bilingual skills preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of ambulatory, outpatient clinical experience; hospitalist experience not preferred.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse patient populations with a focus on community health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
  • Candidate must have at least 1 year of ambulatory experience; new graduates, especially from 2026, are generally not considered unless they possess exceptional or specialized training in family medicine.
  • H1-B visa transfer eligibility will be considered, but currently, no visa candidates are accepted due to regulatory constraints.
