Nurse Practitioner Float - Compensation

• $74.87 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service (on eligibility dates)

Nurse Practitioner Float - Highlights

• Temporary contract assignment (current duration expected to be a year-long assignment based on attendance, performance and business needs )
• Schedule:
• • Mon–Fri: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Sat: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Sun: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required (possible holiday rotations)
• Patient-facing role
• Training: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week for 3 weeks

Nurse Practitioner Float - Responsibilities

• Provide primary and family evidence-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of health conditions
• Deliver health counseling and support disposition planning
• Perform clinic administrative duties including opening/closing, inventory, and patient follow-up
• Verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain a clean/organized clinical environment
• Conduct patient appointments and routine exams to support positive health outcomes
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Encourage patient engagement through health screenings, wellness support, and chronic condition management

Nurse Practitioner Float - Requirements

• Master’s Degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program
• Current National Board Certification
• Active NP/PA license in good standing (in the state of employment)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as an NP (family medicine, primary care, or urgent care)
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC) — will be required to provide proof upon offer acceptance
• Must live in Missouri
• Must be able to work every other weekend (and possible holiday rotations)
• High School Diploma/GED (verifiable)
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Nurse Practitioner Float - Preferred Qualifications

• Urgent care experience (in addition to primary care)
• Experience with electronic medical systems (EMR/EMS)
• Strong understanding of quality measures for chronic disease management
• Strong communication, organization, and ability to work autonomously in a team-based care model
• Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure (as needed for float work)
