Accountant - Family Office / Investment Management


Single Family Office is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support accounting, tax, and reporting functions across a multi-entity environment. This is a highly execution-focused role with exposure to investment activity, tax processes, and financial reporting.


Responsibilities:

  • Support recurring accounting deliverables, including data gathering and preparation of schedules
  • Maintain and review weekly tax lot schedules; ensure alignment with custodial data
  • Assist with reconciliations across accounting records, custodians, and internal tracking files
  • Prepare organized workpapers supporting management and tax reporting
  • Track and maintain distribution schedules and related reporting
  • Provide backup support for recurring reports and daily trading recap data
  • Assist with quarterly tax projections and supporting data
  • Maintain tax calendars and track filing deadlines
  • Prepare support schedules for federal, state, and local filings
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and respond to information requests


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-4 years of accounting, fund accounting, or investment accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar GL systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines
  • Proactive and organized
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written


Preferred:

  • Experience in a family office or investment management environment
  • Exposure to tax lot accounting and custodial reporting
  • Experience working across multiple entities
