Schedule/Hours: Full-time; schedule will vary based on store needs and may include evenings and weekends.

This position is responsible for:

Plans, administers, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of our Family Store with a limited staff ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures; processes, displays, and prices donated items to ensure a maximum financial return on the sale of store items; assists customers in a polite and friendly manner; prepares store displays that are attractive, neat, and orderly; rotates and re-stocks store merchandise to ensure quick turnover; ensures the accountability and security of all store items and funds; serves as a supervisor and/or lead worker to volunteers and/or subordinate store personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations & Supervision (50%)
  • Customer Service & Cash Handling (30%)
  • Store Cleanliness & Organization (10%)
  • Sorting Room Operations (10%)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations.
  • Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.
  • Work is performed in a retail and warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • High School diploma or G.E.D AND
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a retail environment, OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid State Driver's License
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
