Family Support Worker for Family Resource Center 18 Degrees is where new beginnings come to light for children and families – join us on our journey into a new day! At 18 Degrees, we cultivate teams and leaders to embrace the principles of diversity, equity and inclusiveness to support the needs of our community. The Family Support Worker is responsible for organizing and facilitating educational and support groups for youth and parents, providing community outreach, and assisting people to access community resources. Must be able to work with diverse populations, network and build relationships, and work effectively as a team member. Knowledge of parenting skills and child development, strong organizational and communication skills a must. Experience working with individuals and families and familiarity with community resources required. Must be able to utilize computer-based information systems and maintain accurate records. Some Saturdays and evenings required. Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years related experience preferred. Minimum Required Experience: Experience working with families and networking with professionals. Relevant lived experience is desirable but not required.
