Job Description Position: Family Support Worker Program: MV Family Resource Center Classification: Non-Exempt - 40 hours Compensation: $23.00 - $28.50 Reports to: Program Director of MV Family Resource Center Job Summary: Working under the direction of the MVFRC Program Coordinator and the MVFRC Program Director the FRC Family Support Worker is responsible for providing referrals to community resources and assists individuals seeking support from the MVFRC. The Family Support Worker assists in developing the MVFRC calendar as well as assists in facilitating parent and youth programming and support groups. The Family Support Worker is also responsible for assistance in recruiting and providing support to volunteers who shall lead specialized support groups as needed. Evenings and weekends are mandatory. Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions (essential functions*): 1 Provide Services to Families: - Provide information and referrals to community resources and completes necessary forms for service for individuals seeking support from the MVFRC*
- Maintain and continually track data as it relates to providing services to MVFRC families per program policies*
- Attend trainings as requested by the Department of Children and Families and the Program Director including off-island trainings
- Attend meetings as requested by the Department of Children and Families either via Zoom or in person including off-island meetings.
2. MVFRC Programming: - Assist in presenting evidenced-based MV FRC program curriculum as well facilitate other programming of the FRC, including groups, MVFRC events and participation in community events*
- Attend trainings and participate in professional development opportunities relevant to this position
3. Other: - Participate in the MVCS Quality Improvement Team as requested by the MVFRC Program Director and or the MVFRC Program Coordinator.
- Ability to provide hands-on physical participation in the setup, arrangement and breakdown of event spaces, furniture, and equipment including restoring venues to their original condition.
- As part of the MVFRC team, fill in for team members when necessary.
- Assist with maintaining the general upkeep, cleanliness and order of all program spaces.
