    The role

    • Full Time, Fixed Term (12 months)
    • Level 4 - $73,230 to $79,494 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
    • Orange

    As Farm Support Assistant, you’ll work alongside the Farm Manager to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the Orange University Farm. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll contribute across livestock handling and husbandry, general farm maintenance, repairs and the operation of modern agricultural machinery.

    Whether you bring experience as a farm hand or have practical agricultural experience and are keen to build your skills, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse grazing enterprise while supporting the University’s teaching, research and commercial activities. You’ll also work with students, research staff, industry stakeholders and the local rural community, contributing to safe, efficient and best-practice farming operations.

    About you

    • Practical and hands-on, with experience in farm or agricultural environments
    • Confident working with livestock, machinery and general farm maintenance
    • Physically capable and comfortable undertaking manual farm work
    • Well organised, reliable and able to manage priorities and maintain accurate records
    • A positive team player with good communication skills and a willingness to learn
