### Job Duties Start Date: 09/01/2026 End Date: 11/18/2026 Work hours: 48 hours/week, Monday - Saturday, 8 hours/day, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Must Apply By: 10/11/2026 Job Duties: Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to spray, harvest, defoliate, lift, and transport crops, and to deliver harvested crops to storage areas, piling sites, and processing or receiving facilities. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, equipment that utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, sprayers, combines, grain carts, mowers, rakes, balers, defoliators, beet lifters, beet harvesters, beet carts, skid steers, loaders, back-hoes, and track-hoes. Non-CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities, piling sites, and processing or receiving facilities. Workers will load and unload crops, supplies, and farm products from trucks, trailers, carts, and storage units; change combine cutting heads, defoliator flails, lifter wheels, grab rolls, baler components, and other wear components on equipment they are operating; use hand tools to remove rocks, weeds, soil clods, undesirable plant varieties, and other debris from fields, crops, and equipment; perform general maintenance, repairs, and clean-up of storage sheds, shop buildings, grain bins, equipment yards, and all farm equipment; ensure operational areas are organized and well maintained; use hand tools, power tools, and pressure washers to repair, clean, and maintain farm vehicles, machinery, and specialized agricultural equipment; service equipment regularly; receive crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; dispose of spoiled grain; transport grain from fields to grain bins; load and unload grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operate augers and grain conveying equipment; monitor grain moisture levels; prepare scale tickets; and shovel grain. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Other Job Information: Farming is highly dependent on weather, crop maturity, and field conditions. During the period of need, there may be days or weeks in which little or no work is available due to factors outside the employer's control, including but not limited to excessive heat, freezing temperatures, rain, snow, mud, frozen ground, field accessibility, sugar content readings, harvest pace set by the receiving facility, and processor delivery schedules. Workers should expect that the volume and frequency of work will fluctuate significantly throughout the period of need and that workdays may be canceled, shortened, delayed, or rescheduled with little advance notice.
