Stoltzfus Meats is looking for a dependable and hardworking Farmhouse Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, package, and support the production of our fresh prepared foods.This is a hands-on position that includes a mix of basic cooking, food preparation, packaging, labeling, and general kitchen support. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with food, and being part of a team.Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but we are happy to train someone who has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with basic cooking and food preparation tasks according to recipes and instructionsPrepare ingredients and products for daily productionPortion, assemble, and package prepared food itemsLabel, date, and organize finished products for storage or distributionAssist with weighing and measuring ingredients as neededHelp prepare orders for retail, wholesale, and distribution needsMonitor products for quality, freshness, and appearanceFollow proper product rotation and FIFO practicesKeep work areas, utensils, equipment, and surfaces clean and organizedFollow all food safety, sanitation, GMP, and workplace safety proceduresAssist with stocking ingredients, packaging materials, and suppliesSupport cooks, production employees, and kitchen leadership with daily production needsHelp with cleaning and end-of-shift responsibilitiesWork collaboratively with other team members to keep production running smoothlyQualificationsPrevious kitchen, food preparation, production, or packaging experience is helpful but not requiredWillingness to learn basic cooking and food production proceduresDependable and able to follow instructionsStrong attention to cleanliness, quality, and food safetyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPositive, team-oriented attitudeApplicants must be at least 18 years of agePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to perform repetitive food preparation, packaging, and production tasksAbility to work in kitchen and food production environments with varying temperaturesAbility to safely work around kitchen and food production equipmentEqual Employment OpportunityStoltzfus Meats is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
