This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in: Stigler, Oklahoma Title: Farmworkers, Farm & Ranch Animals Dates of Contract: Apr 15, 2025 to Jan 15, 2026 Schedule: Mon to Sat 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. Duties: Supplementing and checking cows to increase strength in preparation for Spring calving; calve cows; monitor cow and calf health daily; physically pull calves out of cows when necessary; put out fertilizer in grass pasture as grass begins to grow, move cattle to grass; gather, sort, administer medicine, and wean calves; prepare and maintain farm equipment; fix fence; operate tractor, swather, baler for making hay while it produces forage; ensure cows and calves stay in grass pasture fences; make last cutting of hay of the season; brush hog pastures; end of season servicing of equipment, put equipment into winter storage; move cows and calves out of grass pastures and into pens; finish Fall calving; sort yearling calves to be taken to market and sold; transport hay via pickup and trailer or truck and trailer to storage facilities in close proximity to the farm; drive farm vehicle to obtain parts and supplies. Requirements: Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
