Django Developer

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance web applications and RESTful APIs using Python and Django.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and libraries to extend application functionality.
• Manage and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance, primarily with PostgreSQL.
• Participate actively in code reviews, contributing to architectural discussions and ensuring code quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and application issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability and stability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Required Qualifications

• Proven professional experience developing sophisticated web applications with Python and the Django framework.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, including data modeling, schema design, and query optimization (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design, development, and consumption.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid grasp of software development principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Previous experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts and tools (e.g., Celery).
