JOB TITLE: CAFETERIA EMPLOYEE

EMPLOYEE EVALUATED ANNUALLY
The purpose of the Cafeteria Employee is to assist in the preparation, serving, and clean-up of the
school breakfast and lunch program.
\u2192 Learn, understand, and follow all applicable school breakfast/lunch guidelines
\u2192 Follow recipes as directed by the Cafeteria Manager and/or Food Service Director
\u2192 Properly use and care for equipment
\u2192 Follow proper sanitary procedures
\u2192 Follow proper storage procedures
\u2192 Record removal of supplies from storage as directed by the Cafeteria Manager
\u2192 Complete record of daily food use for Cafeteria Manager's report
\u2192 Report absences, including tardiness, to the Cafeteria Manager in a timely manner
\u2192 Follow work assignment schedule developed by the Cafeteria Manager
\u2192 Cooperate with the Cafeteria Manager and co-workers
\u2192 Follow directions/instructions provided by the Cafeteria Manager
\u2192 Follow appropriate chain of command in all work related matters
\u2192 Demonstrate courtesy to students, faculty, and others
\u2192 Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager, Building Principal, Food Service
Director, Director of Operations, and/or the Superintendent
\u2192 Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent
\u2192 Be generally in good health
\u2192 Test negative to a yearly TB test taken prior to the beginning of the school year
\u2192 Demonstrate a genuine interest in institutional food preparation and related work
\u2192 Possess the ability to cook and bake quality food products
\u2192 Possess the stamina to stand for extended periods of time on tile/concrete floor
\u2192 Ability to lift a reasonable amount of weight
\u2192 Possess the stamina to keep hands in water for extended periods of time
\u2192 Possess and be able to demonstrate the abilities to complete assigned tasks involved in food
service to the expected standard in a timely fashion
\u2192 Possess and be able to demonstrate a cooperative attitude in accepting and completing work assignments
