FD Inventory Analyst - Part-Time

Job purpose

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for tracking and managing product in the Mart and Showroom buildings to ensure all opportunities for a sale to occur can be met. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all pricing on product correctly reflects pricing given to Furnitureland by manufacturers. The Inventory Analyst will be the front line in ensuring that all product is accounted for and displayed in the correct location. The goal of this individual is to protect Furnitureland South's physical assets by ensuring that all sellable product is accounted for.

Essential Functions and responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counting of the Mart, Showroom and Outlet Center.
• Reconcile inventory that is not accounted for during cycles.
• Research misplaced inventory and inventory showing in customer's homes.
• Continuously evaluate inventory levels to ensure all data is correct.
• Work with internal departments to correct errors in displayed inventory.
• Track manifest exceptions and correct in the system and with other departments.
• Work to make sure fact tags are attached to all inventory and display correct information.
• Replace missing tags or make changes to existing tags due to price increase, discontinued product, target changes, etc.
• Assist with transfers of product, barcode issues, and opening of product.
• Work with other departments to correct errors in display inventory when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

A high school diploma and at least two years of secondary schooling or a high school diploma and two years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous merchandising or inventory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
