Buyer / Purchasing Specialist (Contract) 

We are seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, reviewing purchase requisitions, and ensuring materials are acquired at the best value while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, support, and availability.
• Process and approve purchase orders and procurement requests.
• Solicit and review supplier bids and proposals.
• Support contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.
• Monitor supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with business requirements.
• Resolve issues related to defective, delayed, or unacceptable goods and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and drive cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Analyze pricing, financial reports, and purchasing data to support decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, finance, supply chain, or a related area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of supply chain and purchasing processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Contract administration and supplier performance management experience.
• Understanding of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
