Job Summary

Tryfacta is seeking a Proposal Pricing Analyst to join our internal team in Tysons Corner, VA 22102. This is a full-time position directly with Tryfacta and requires employees to work onsite at least three days per week.

Please Note: The interview process requires an in-person interview. This is not a fully remote position.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours; flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends when required by proposal deadlines.

Responsibilities

The Proposal Pricing Analyst will be responsible for collecting, aggregating, and analyzing pricing data to establish and validate pricing strategies, tactics, and business models across customer segments. The position will collaborate closely with Accounting and Finance, Business Development, and other internal teams to support compliant and competitive government contract pricing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform detailed cost and pricing analysis of RFPs and RFQs to support compliant and competitive cost proposals.
  • Develop pricing models, cost models, and pricing strategies for management review and approval.
  • Research and analyze historical pricing data and compile labor, benefits, personnel, and other cost elements to support proposal efforts.
  • Participate in Business Development meetings, fact-finding sessions, costing discussions, and pricing reviews.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Finance teams on contract development, administration, compliance, and reporting.
  • Generate reports and conduct financial analysis to calculate contract and program profitability.
  • Support customer Task Order processing, including RFP folder setup, project number establishment, and RFQ record creation.
  • Perform data entry, analysis, reporting, and presentation of metrics using SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analyze contract requirements and interpret Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS) for pricing purposes.
  • Support compliant cost strategies within federal and DoD contracting environments.
  • Perform variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting using spreadsheet-based templates.
  • Maintain detailed databases of market, labor, and pricing trends that affect pricing decisions.
  • Prepare and complete detailed bid packages within strict customer and proposal deadlines.
  • Support the Finance Department and other internal teams as required.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Proposal Pricing, Cost Pricing, Pricing Analysis, or a similar role within the Government Contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing government contract pricing and cost proposals.
  • Working knowledge of the Service Contract Act (SCA) and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
  • Experience interpreting contract SOW and PWS documents.
  • Experience with proposal pricing involving labor, personnel costs, benefits, and related cost components.
  • Basic working knowledge of the DoD contracting environment, including FAR, DFARS, DCAA, ITAR, and DSS requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Excel for pricing models, cost analysis, variance analysis, metrics, graphs, and reporting.
  • Experience with SharePoint-based data entry, document management, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of web-based procurement portals and experience uploading and downloading proposal and bid documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and proposal deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, establish daily priorities, and meet defined goals and deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends when required to meet critical proposal deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive business and pricing information.
  • Ability to attend a mandatory in-person interview and work onsite in Tysons Corner, Virginia, at least three days per week.
