About Us

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Track & Field/Cross Country Manager provides operational support to the coaching staff by assisting with daily practice operations, meet day preparation, equipment management, photography, social media content, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation and promotion of the Track & Field and Cross Country programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with practice and meet-day setup and breakdown.
  • Prepare, distribute, collect, and maintain team equipment, uniforms, and training supplies.
  • Assist with timing equipment, hydration stations, field event setup, and athlete support during practices and competitions.
  • Capture photos and videos during practices, competitions, and team events for promotional purposes.
  • Assist with creating and posting approved content on the programs social media platforms.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the equipment room, storage areas, and practice facilities.
  • Assist with inventory, administrative tasks, and team travel preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the coaching staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Basic knowledge of track & field and/or cross country, photography, and social media platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move athletic equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
