Provide assistance to children in reading, mathematics and mentoring of children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Student workers will assist children, ages kindergarten through sixth grade, in the development of reading and mathematics skills. Student may be engaged in academic activities with selected students either one-on-one or in small groups as directed by agency supervisor. Students are expected to work under a teacher's direction or work closely with the teacher in the classroom to fulfill the specific need of those students and of the teacher. Student will communicate effectively with the Federal Work-Study Coordinator and agency supervisor.

Ergonomic Requirements
Working hours are regular per the established work schedule by the agency. While preforming the duties of this position, the employee is required to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature with the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods. The employee is regularly required to sir, use hands and fingers, handle or fill objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
