Department: Community Engagement Salary: $15.00 per hour
Description:
The Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning vision is to build bridges to the community to create a more engaged campus, cultivate social responsibility, and develop a vibrant learning environment for UHD students. Our department is seeking student workers to place at off-campus nonprofit or government organizations for fall/spring semesters.
THIS IS AN OFF-CAMPUS OPPORTUNITY!
Duties:
Students must have transportation to the job placement site.
There are two types of positions that students may fill as participants in the program.
Community Engagement Interns will hold placements within a local nonprofit in an area related to their academic major or specific interests.
Generally, tutors will work in educational settings (schools or a non-profit) to help elementary school students better comprehend math, science, or reading.
The tasks are to be determined and set by the nonprofit or government organization.
Students are to represent UHD professionally and maintain all confidentiality policies.
