Job Description

Position Summary:

The Federal Work-Study Student will support the daily operations of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program. This role involves assisting with general administrative, clinical, and facilities-related duties to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient learning environment for students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with laundry collection, washing, and restocking of towels, linens, and other clinical textiles
• Maintain and monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; restock items as needed
• Help organize and prepare materials for labs, classes, and special events
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of lab and classroom spaces
• Check Student refrigerator weekly to discard spoiled food and wipe down interior of microwaves ovens.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of supply usage and report low-stock items
• Greet and direct students or visitors, when needed
• Perform light clerical work if needed
• Other duties as assigned related to the daily functions of the DPT program

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study and currently enrolled as a student at LIU Post
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Comfort working in a clinical or educational environment

Hours: Flexible, typically 10\u201315 hours per week during the academic year
