Feeder Packer

The Opportunity:

As a Feeder Packer, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring products are packed, inspected, and prepared for shipment according to quality and safety standards. You will contribute to a high-performing production environment by maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. In this role, you will work closely with operators and team members to ensure production goals are met while upholding company values of integrity, sustainability, and service.

How you will impact Smurfit WestRock:

• Assemble corrugated boxes and pack finished products for shipment in accordance with specifications.
• Verify job specifications against materials being used to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Load cartons into machine feeds while maintaining proper stack height and orientation.
• Change and move pallets or loads using appropriate equipment.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet required quality standards before shipment.
• Complete and maintain required production and quality documentation.
• Support machine operators in maintaining consistent production output and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow instructions from supervisors, operators, and team leads to support operational needs.

What you need to succeed:

• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours during a shift.
• Ability to use hands for grasping, pushing, and pulling tasks.
• Ability to safely operate a hand-operated pallet jack.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with printed materials and packaging quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-performance environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, twisting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, ear protection, hair nets, and steel-toed shoes.
• Flexibility to work additional hours or overtime as needed to support production demands.
