Feeding Clinic Psychologist Penn State Health Golisano Childrens Hospital invites applications for a Licensed Psychologist to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The nationally recognized Feeding Clinic features a fully integrated team of outpatient feeding therapists, nutritionists, and speech-language pathologists.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Outpatient-only role focused on pediatric feeding serving ages 0-18.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including Speech, Nutrition, and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • Work daily with a high-volume population of children with feeding disorders, most with co-occurring neurodevelopmental disabilities, especially autism.
  • Caseload of approximately 5 patients per day with opportunities to teach and mentor developmental residents and graduate students.
  • Engagement across the full mission, clinical care, teaching, research, and community outreach.
  • Supervision of a masters level therapist.
  • Academic rank based upon qualifications.

What Were Seeking:

  • Licensed Psychologist, PhD or PsyD, with experience in pediatric populations.
  • Clinical background in feeding disorders, eating challenges, or pediatric behavioral health.
  • Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder.
  • Comfort working in an outpatient interdisciplinary setting alongside Speech, Nutrition, and Pediatric GI.
  • Ability to manage a steady daily caseload, approximately 5 patients, and coordinate care with families.
  • Interest in teaching, supervision, and mentoring trainees, residents, graduate students.
  • Commitment to research, quality improvement, and/or community outreach within the feeding program.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills to support referrals, scheduling, and clinic operations.
  • Collaborative team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
