Summary:

  • Lead the operational and financial success of construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to field crews while fostering a positive, productive team environment.
  • Partner with the Branch Manager and leadership team to achieve company goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage project staffing, materials, equipment, inventory, and scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee project financials, including invoices, billing, job costing, and percent-complete accounting.
  • Monitor project performance, conduct site visits, and implement solutions to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Resolve customer service, operational, and employee-related issues while approving employee timecards.
  • Develop employees through coaching, performance management, communication, and ongoing training.
  • Build strong relationships across teams, promote company initiatives, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: BS degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field from an accredited college or five (5) years of directly related experience is preferred.

  • Must be flexible with a willingness to perform the jobs personally as well as through delegation or interaction with others and must be able to relate to all levels of personnel.
  • Must carry out directives from the Construction Manager, President and the financial accounting team, and support them in all respects and actively work to promote the direction and vision of the President
  • Strong desire to bring a team together and holding employees accountable
  • Leadership of a team and human resource management skills
  • Willingness to learn and implement continuous improvement methodologies
  • Natural self-starter with initiative, high energy level, hands on approach and work ethic
  • Strong technical, organization, and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems & computer networks
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel
  • Well organized, attention to detail, multi-task, and work with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and have good public relations skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
