About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Fence Technician to join a growing operations team serving commercial, industrial, construction, and special event customers throughout Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and taking pride in delivering quality workmanship.
As a Fence Technician, you will install, relocate, and remove temporary fencing at customer job sites while operating company vehicles, using hand and power tools, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Deliver, install, relocate, and remove temporary fencing at customer sites.
- Safely operate company flatbed or fence trucks to transport materials and equipment.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Measure layouts and accurately position fencing according to project requirements.
- Dig post holes, install posts, and assemble fence panels.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, fit, and secure fencing materials.
- Ensure all fencing is level, secure, and professionally installed.
- Read basic site plans and work orders when required.
- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding schedules, project updates, and customer requests.
- Complete required paperwork and maintain vehicle and job documentation.
- Clean up work areas and leave every job site in excellent condition.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous construction, fencing, labor, or installation experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance; occasionally up to 150 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and climb throughout the workday.
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, and other weather conditions.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding manual labor.
