Position Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join an employer-based health clinic providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment. This full-time daytime position offers the opportunity to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions while working alongside an interdisciplinary care team. The provider will practice under established physician protocols and play a key role in promoting employee health, wellness, and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-employment and annual wellness examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Manage chronic health conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under supervising physician protocols.
- Conduct health screenings and preventive care programs.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing as appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, making referrals when appropriate.
- Review and discuss clinical cases with the Medical Director and designated leadership.
- Oversee employee respirator clearance and hearing conservation testing performed by clinic staff.
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with clinic operations and additional duties as needed.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care.
Preferred Qualifications
- DEA registration/license.
- Experience in occupational or employer-based healthcare settings.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
