Be part of the historic Framingham Heart Study (FHS) as a Digitization Technician, contributing to the transformation of medical records into a secure electronic format. This temporary on-site role in Framingham, MA, offers a chance to work within the Health Information Management (HIM) Department, ensuring the accuracy and security of vital health information.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare paper medical records for digitization.
• Scan, index, and organize electronic records.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive health information.
• Adhere to FHS, Boston University, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with document management and archiving activities as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Ability to lift and move records/files up to 25 pounds.

Preferences:

• Experience with document scanning, records management, data entry, or administrative support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
