Fiber Admin - Fiber Plant Manager

JOB TITLE: Fiber Plant ManagerFLSA STATUS: EXEMPTREPORTS TO: Site Leader

SUMMARY:Plans, directs and controls all activities of AJ Nonwovens Fiber Extrusion operation consisting of 50 M pounds of fiber extrusion capacity with approx. 70 associates with 3 production team leads and full technical and maintenance staff on-site. This operation supports fiber requirements for AJNW operations and direct outside sales. Looking for a hands-on process focused and involved leader.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Integrated with Senior Leadership team participating in overall Business Strategy developmentDrives profitable growthPlanning and scheduling for fiber productionDrive IT improvements with current systems and processesDynamic leader who can act as change agent on our LEAN journeyEnsures Fiber operations are acting with synergy within total siteDevelops Fiber metrics consistent with business performance objectivesAccountable and responsible for Safety, Quality and Productivity of Fiber Operations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree, Chemical Engineering a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and JD EdwardsStrong verbal/written communication skills and basic arithmeticExtrusion experience highly desiredAbility to read and interpret complex documentationPrevious leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.Extensive Leadership background is highly valuedWorking in a union environment a plus

Standard work hours will be 7am - 4pm. Nights and/or weekend coverage is probable.
