Do you enjoy dialing in programs, verifying setups, and watching a perfect nest come to life? As a Fiber/CO2 Laser Programmer‑Operator, you will learn to run both CO2 and Fiber CNC lasers, make precise program adjustments, and safely move materials with a sit‑down forklift—all while keeping quality and throughput front and center.

Your impact starts with the schedule

  • 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–2:00 am
  • Training: 4–8 weeks on 1st shift
  • Shift premium: $1.50/hour beginning during 1st shift training
  • Overtime: posted on Wednesday for the following week

Core responsibilities

  • Lead with safety: follow all safety and quality procedures every time.
  • Set up and operate CNC lasers (CO2 and Fiber), adjusting programs to meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Operate sit‑down forklifts to stage, load, and transport materials.
  • Support production with additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a sit‑down forklift.
  • Read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Use hand tools: hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, banders.
  • Use precision instruments: tape measure, box calipers, sliding/dial calipers, micrometers.
  • Convert fractions decimals and metric English units.
  • Provide high‑quality work products to internal and external customers.
  • Set up and operate one or more processing machines.
  • Speak, write, and comprehend conversational English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Physical demands and environment

  • Lift 20–60 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, sitting, standing, twisting, and stooping.
  • Continuous walking during shifts.
  • Fine hand/finger coordination for precise manipulation.

Work includes indoor and outdoor conditions with changing temperatures, loud noise, and equipment vibration, plus potential exposure to:

  • Hazards: moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high heat, and chemicals.
  • Atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or areas with poor ventilation.
  • Oils: air and/or skin contact with oils and cutting fluids.
