We have an exciting opportunity for a Fiber Network Engineer/Coordinator based in Tucker, GA. This position offers the chance to play a key role in the design, planning, and coordination of a growing middle-mile fiber network supporting critical utility operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between fiber engineering and network reliability, collaborating closely with both field teams and NOC operations.
Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and oversee fiber network infrastructure projects
Maintain and update fiber documentation, including GIS and AutoCAD designs
Create and manage splice plans and ensure network integrity and reliability
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on testing and implementation
Support construction and maintenance activities for OSP/ISP fiber systems
Perform occasional site visits and field testing
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (preferred)
5+ years of network design and GIS experience with fiber optic plant
Strong background in AutoCAD, GIS, and fiber design standards
UTC Level 1 & 2 Fiber Optic Designer Certification (preferred)
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Must pass NERC CIP personnel risk assessment

Location: Tucker, GA (100% in-office)
Pay Rate: $45$55/hour (approx. $95K$115K/year, depending on experience)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8 AM5 PM (some flexibility)
Assignment: 12-month minimum (potential for long-term extension)
