Fiber Optic Technician - data center

Rightech is working with a national integrator, who specializes in fiber deployments in data center environments in Huntsville, AL.
We are looking for twenty fiber optic technicians that will provide fiber testing and certification of new construction and existing infrastructure at a hyperscale data center.

Candidates must be reliable (available to work each day), open to overtime, and willing to continue to learn and develop.

Candidates should have the following experience:

• 3+ years of documented industry experience in fiber optics installation, testing and troubleshooting in a data center or co-location environment.
• Documented experience in fiber optic testing and certification using an OTDR.
• Capable of restoring and troubleshooting failures across fiber optic or twisted pair deployments, such as Loss of signal, low signal and interface errors.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in fiber and copper systems.
• Experience operating and performing work in operational environments as well as projects in live mission-critical environments.
• Experience using a laptop to document test results
