Fiber Splicer

Required Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in fiber optics, telecommunications, or similar network infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: FTTH, fiber splicing, business installations, outages/troubleshooting, node work, or dark fiber
- Ability to properly splice, test, troubleshoot, and identify fiber-related issues
- Ability to read and understand fiber prints, splice documentation, and work assignments
- Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to consistently report to assigned job sites throughout Atlanta and Metro Atlanta
- Must be able to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and according to customer specifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Must be willing to work occasional outages, emergency calls, evenings, or weekends when required

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Comcast experience is strongly preferred
- Experience working with Comcast fiber infrastructure, nodes, business services, or FTTH networks
- Experience operating OTDRs, optical power meters, fiber splicers, and other fiber testing equipment
- Experience operating or working from a bucket truck
- Familiarity with CWDM/DWDM, Metro-E, high-count fiber, and dark fiber networks is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot fiber networks from the field and identify issues without constant supervision
