TradeSTAR is seeking experienced Level II and Level III Fiber Technicians to support long-term commercial low-voltage projects throughout Richardson and the North Dallas area. If you have experience with fiber optic installation, fusion splicing, terminations, and testing, this is an excellent opportunity to put your skills to work while building a long-term career with one of our valued client partners.

About the Opportunity
TradeSTAR partners with leading commercial low-voltage contractors and technology integrators throughout Texas to connect skilled professionals with rewarding career opportunities.
Our client is an established commercial contractor specializing in structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and technology integration. With a strong backlog of commercial projects and a commitment to quality workmanship, they continue to expand their team with technicians who take pride in doing the job right.
What You'll Do
Install, terminate, and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling
Perform fusion splicing and fiber optic repairs
Test and certify fiber using OTDRs, optical power meters, and visual fault locators (VFL)
Install fiber enclosures, patch panels, racks, and cable management systems
Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and construction drawings
Identify and resolve fiber connectivity issues
Maintain quality workmanship while following industry best practices and job site safety standards
Work alongside Lead Technicians, Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers to complete commercial installations
What We're Looking For
1+ years of commercial fiber optic installation experience
Experience with fusion splicing and fiber terminations
Working knowledge of OTDR testing, power meter testing, and fiber certification
Structured cabling experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
A strong work ethic and a desire to continue growing in the low-voltage industry
