Description Benefits Description Field Crew Assessor's Office Under close supervision, measures real property on behalf of the St. Clair County Assessor's Office; Identifying, measuring and drawing new construction and improvements to existing structures to assist with the determination of value. Also reviews existing structures as scheduled.

• Gather data on real property including, but not limited to, measuring, drawing and computing of structures and areas, physical inspection of exterior and at times, interior building. • Taking photos of all improvements on property. • Keeping work organized to facilitate timely completion of such. • Be able to use equipment and computer programs utilized in office
Typical Qualifications Employment Standards High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent St Clair County, Il resident Valid Illinois Driver's License Knowledge and Skills Ability to learn and have knowledge of: • County policies and procedures • Field Crew principles, protocols, and standards • Field Crew equipment • Department operations relative to area of assignment • Locating properties utilizing county maps • Produce drawings of buildings
Skills in: • Coordinating and performing a variety of field crew functions • Responding to public inquiries and providing contact information regarding departmental services, programs, policies, and procedures • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other staff and the general public • Meeting deadlines and working through frequent interruptions and inquiries • Communicating effectively verbally • Strong sense of professionalism and discretion required
Supplemental Information Working Environment/Physical Demands Work is performed outside with exposure to all types of weather common in Southwestern Illinois; subject to extensive standing and walking on properties with different topography. Employees are expected to meeting production and quality standards.
