Your mission

  • Start up, commission, and test PLC‑controlled equipment at customer sites.
  • Bring up control cabinets; load and configure PLC/HMI software; validate performance per SOW.
  • Commission HMI systems and confirm robust communications with PLCs.
  • Execute end‑to‑end hardware tests; verify conformance to project specs and standards.
  • Prove full functionality with the customer’s WMS and adjust to meet requirements.
  • Integrate Symbotic adapter cells, storage modules, and safety systems with WMS interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues using advanced diagnostic tools; protect schedule.
  • Collaborate with engineering, software, and support through go‑live.

What you’ll bring

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Hands‑on with PLC/HMI platforms (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens); PanelView Plus familiarity.
  • Exposure to robotics (ABB, Fanuc) and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
  • Able to read electrical drawings; basic SQL and relational DB skills.
  • Comfort with Linux and Windows OS.
  • Plus: experience with motion control (e.g., VFDs).
  • Remote support proficiency (Remote Desktop, SSH, web tools); thrives in collaborative teams; strong prioritization under pressure.

Where and how you’ll work

  • Remote, field‑based role supporting regional projects; openings across East, Central, and West regions.
  • Based within your time zone for on‑site collaboration; regular regional travel up to 75%.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to drive/fly to customer locations.
  • Use a personal credit card and submit expenses for bi‑weekly reimbursement.
  • Primary office: Wilmington, MA; extended assignments at customer installations as systems reach commissioning.

Physical & safety conditions

  • Frequent walking/reaching; standing; climbing/balancing; stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling.
  • Work at heights up to 45 feet and in spaces as tight as 24 inches.
  • Lift/move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Strict safety compliance, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection.
  • ~75% of time on construction sites; PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eye/ear protection, fall protection harness).
  • Frequent stair climbing within the automation structure; elevated railings nearby.
  • Protected from weather but not temperature; operate in 32°–105°F.

Pay & benefits

Base range: $82,000.00 - $113,300.00, with final base determined by skills, experience, and job‑related knowledge. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and more.
