Can you run a commercial jobsite from kickoff to closeout?

If you thrive in the field and love turning drawings into buildings, this role is for you. We’ve teamed up with a respected contractor to hire a Field Construction Superintendent in Chicago, IL for commercial projects spanning mixed-use, industrial, retail, and multi-unit work.

Your core accountabilities

• Direct day-to-day field activities and manage subcontractor performance
• Plan look-aheads, interpret drawings/schedules, and align work to milestones
• Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance requirements
• Maintain site documentation, daily logs, and regular status updates
• Lead with clarity to sustain productivity, teamwork, and morale
• Control schedule and costs to meet budget and timeline targets

What you’ll need to succeed

• Commercial construction background with multiple years in a supervisory capacity
• Solid grasp of construction means/methods, sequencing, and site logistics
• Experience with local permits, codes, and inspection workflows
• Proven leadership coordinating multiple trades and suppliers
• Excellent communication and practical problem-solving skills
• Fluency with construction management software
• Relevant safety certifications preferred

Compensation & details

Salary: $130k – $160k
Location: Chicago, IL
