A day in the field
You touch down at a new facility, get a quick handoff from the local team, and dive right into precision work. By mid-morning, you’ve dialed in offsets on a CNC lathe, then moved to a mill to bring a complex aerospace component into spec. Between runs, you keep equipment humming with routine checks and resolve small issues before they become big ones. Each assignment brings a new shop floor, a new crew, and the same expectation—parts produced to exacting standards.
What you will do
- Set up and run CNC lathes and mills to manufacture high-precision parts, meeting aerospace quality expectations.
- Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to keep performance optimal.
- Travel to multiple job sites, adjusting quickly to new environments, processes, and teams.
What you bring
- Documented background as a CNC Machinist within an aerospace setting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfort working solo or collaborating with diverse teams in varied locations.
- Readiness to travel and thrive in different work environments.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a consistently positive, can-do attitude.
Why you’ll thrive
If you enjoy variety, building relationships on new shop floors, and delivering precision under changing conditions, this contract field role gives you all three—every week.
