Job Title

Serve as the primary point of contact for Local Health Departments in assigned District for issues related to the IDOH-Division of Emergency Preparedness. Report to the Director of District and Local Readiness and the IDOH DEP Regional Supervisor for their area. Identify preparedness gaps and needs in local health departments and communicate these to the Regional Supervisor. Assist in directing local departments to resources that address their needs. Coordinate with the Healthcare Coalition District (HCC) Coordinator to facilitate collaboration between local public health and healthcare partners on preparedness efforts. Regularly communicate with the Regional Supervisor about the needs, challenges, and accomplishments of the health departments in the assigned district. Participate in IDOH-Division of Emergency Preparedness conference calls and staff meetings. Attend scheduled District Coalition meetings and other health department related meetings or events. Identify and communicate any planning, training, and exercise support needs or activities to the Regional Supervisor. Provide guidance and answer questions related to IDOH preparedness efforts. Assist in tracking grant deliverable progress and completion during preparedness activities, data collection efforts, and inventory tracking. Complete any necessary reporting and/or tracking forms and documents. Assist in coordinating Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Operational Readiness Review(s) in CRI jurisdictions as needed. Submit summary reports of coalition or district meetings and individual meetings. Have a strong familiarity and understanding with IDOH Division of Emergency Preparedness policies, standard operating procedures, preparedness and response plans, and technical concepts of operations. Report outcomes of each meeting to the Regional Supervisor within 2 business days. Actively ensure local partners understand technical and procedural aspects of IDOH-Division of Emergency Preparedness and other state emergency management and response strategies. Maintain an electronic file of all guidance documents, templates, and boiler plates distributed by IDOH Central Office and distribute these documents as directed to local partners. Serve as representatives of the Indiana Department of Health and conduct themselves accordingly. Stay up to date on CDC, ASPR, ISDH and other relevant guidance documents and programs.
