About the Role
We are seeking a Field Cost Accountant (FCA) to support project operations by managing cost tracking, procurement, and on-site coordination. This is a hands-on, field-based role that works closely with Project Managers to ensure projects run efficiently, stay on budget, and meet contractual requirements.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced environments, problem-solving, and being directly involved in project execution-not just behind a desk.

What You'll Do

Project Cost & Reporting
  • Track and manage all project costs (labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors)
  • Prepare daily cost reports (EPA 1900 / RCMS) and maintain accurate financial data
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost visibility for project leadership
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
  • Source vendors, obtain quotes, and manage purchase orders, service agreements, and change orders
  • Perform cost analysis and support vendor selection
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes and policies
Operations & Field Support
  • Coordinate personnel, equipment, and site logistics
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to field teams
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety and reporting requirements
Team Collaboration
  • Partner with Project Managers and field leadership to support project execution
  • Act as the go-to resource for project tracking, reporting, and coordination
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in administrative, accounting, or project support roles
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, field environment
  • Willingness to travel and work on project sites
Preferred:
  • Experience in construction, environmental, or field-based projects
  • Knowledge of cost tracking, procurement, or accounting processes
Work Environment
  • Field-based role (jobsite trailers and active project locations)
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions and active construction environments
  • Travel and potential relocation depending on project needs

Why This Role?

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on project experience across cost management, procurement, and operations.

Apply today to be part of a team where your work directly impacts project success.
