Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on field trainingand classroom instructionfor electricians and apprentices.
- Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate skills, reinforce best practices, and provide coaching.
- Support onboarding and orientation of new field employees.
- Develop and maintain training materials, curriculum, and skill assessments.
- Partner with operations, safety, and project leadership to identify training needs.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Track employee training progress and maintain training documentation.
- Assist with apprenticeship development, leadership training, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Utilize technology platforms and reporting tools to monitor training effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of craft training programs that align with company goals and operational needs.
- Collaborate with field leadership to identify skill gaps and provide targeted training solutions.
- Facilitate both classroom and field-based learning experiences.
- Ensure training content remains current with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to increase workforce performance and retention.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- Electrical construction experience required.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, Trainer, or Mentor preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical construction practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to teach and engage individuals with varying levels of experience.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms preferred.
- Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Austin market.
