Job Title: Field Engineer 4

Location: Menands, NY

Duration: 6 Months

Summary:

• Pay Rate: This job req is subject to overtime discounts (0.95x exempt; 1.35x non-exempt) and a 10% discount after six months of service.
• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Assigned service requests to repair laptops and desktops in the metro area.
• Perform repair activities such as replacing hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards.
• Conduct whole unit swaps, repair or replace PC peripherals.
• Maintain reliable transportation for servicing the metro and surrounding areas.
• Close service tickets in real-time in the Company Call Management system using a company-provided phone.

Requirements:

• Must have own reliable car and car insurance.
• 1 year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix.
• General knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to resolve basic/non-complex problems as directed.
• Client and/or governmental clearance may be required.
• Police or criminal background verification clearance may be required.

Preferred Skills:

• Computer-building background experience preferred.
