    Job Title: Field Engineer 4

    Location(s): North Syracuse, NY


    Work Authorization:

    • US Citizenship required due to work in federal/government facilities.

    Position Overview:
    Field Computer Technician responsible for laptop and desktop break-fix support across metro and surrounding areas. The role includes onsite hardware repairs, system replacements, and ticket management using a mobile device.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and repair laptops and desktops.
    • Replace hardware components including:
      • Motherboards
      • Hard drives
      • Keyboards
      • LCD screens
    • Perform whole-unit swaps and peripheral replacements.
    • Update and close service tickets in real time.
    • Travel locally between customer locations.

    Requirements:

    • 1+ year of hands-on laptop/desktop break-fix experience.
    • Experience diagnosing Dell laptops and PCs preferred.
    • A+ Certification required (can be completed within 90 days if not already certified).
    • Must own a reliable vehicle and maintain car insurance.
    • Ability to travel extensively (250–350 miles weekly).
    • Basic Microsoft application knowledge.
    • Comfortable with administrative reporting via mobile device.
    • Must pass background and drug screening.
    • Dell certifications required before start date (provided free).

    Additional Details:

    • Mileage reimbursement provided during work hours only.
    • Vaccine not required.
    • Overtime and extended shifts may occasionally be required.
    • Business casual dress code mandatory.
