Job Title: Field Engineer 4

Location(s): Philadelphia, PA


Job Summary:
Seeking a Field Computer Technician to provide onsite laptop and desktop break-fix support in the Philadelphia metro area. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Dell systems, replacing hardware components, completing service tickets in real time, and supporting customers onsite. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable with extensive daily travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform onsite break-fix repair for laptops and desktops.
  • Replace hardware components including:
    • Motherboards
    • Hard drives
    • Keyboards
    • LCD screens
    • PC peripherals
  • Conduct whole-unit swaps when required.
  • Diagnose Dell laptops and desktops.
  • Update and close service tickets in real time using company-provided phone.
  • Travel throughout assigned metro and surrounding service areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of hands-on laptop/desktop break-fix experience.
  • Experience diagnosing Dell laptops and PCs.
  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve basic to moderate technical issues.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle and maintain valid car insurance.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the day.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer building or repair background.
  • A+ Certification preferred.
    • Required within 90 days of start date if not currently certified.

Additional Requirements:

  • Weekly mileage expectation: 250–350 miles.
  • Must complete required Dell product training/certifications.
  • Certifications are provided at no cost after selection.
  • Reliable home internet and computer required.
  • Business casual dress code required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or late hours when needed.
