    Field Engineer 
    Contract/ Contract to Hire
    Detroit/MI



    Top 5 Must-Have Skills:
    • Experience providing desktop support and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and IT infrastructure issues.
    • Ability to diagnose technical problems and deliver effective resolutions.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to work onsite, travel between locations as needed, and safely use a ladder.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide operational support for desktop, network, and IT infrastructure in office, reservation center, and airport environments.
    • Perform Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC) activities for end-user devices and IT equipment.
    • Deliver onsite technical support during scheduled field visits and dispatch assignments.
    • Diagnose hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and implement effective solutions.
    • Produce accurate and timely service reports documenting completed work.
    • Maintain and document technical processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Collect and analyze system performance data to identify and resolve technical issues.
    • Manage work assignments efficiently while adhering to established schedules and service levels.
    • Accurately document solutions for complex technical issues.
    • Develop and document workaround procedures when standard solutions are not effective.
    • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field engineers, technicians, and end users.
    • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional and responsive support.
    • Safely use ladders and perform physical tasks required to install or service IT equipment.
     
    Required Qualifications:
    • Experience supporting desktop hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience documenting technical issues and resolutions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
    • Ability to lift equipment and safely use a ladder when required.
